Jun 9th | A lot of bands

A lot of bands find the idea of building a website discouraging. It sounds difficult, it sounds expensive, but is it really necessary? In a word, yes. While a huge amount of business and growth takes place on social media, if you don't have a well designed website to point to, you're going to have a tough time impressing the heavy hitters (managers, A&R reps, booking agents, etc.).

A common complaint among musicians is that building a customized website is very expensive; a few artists have shown me quotes for more than $5000. It's not 1997 anymore, and those quotes are NOT what you'll find here. It is perfectly possible to create an effective website at an affordable price. Another thing you find is that updating the website along with other social media outlets and other places on the net is too big of a job. NOT HERE! We build websites that you never have to touch. If you update anything on one of your social media pages, it shows up on your website. News, events, images, videos, etc.

After all, your website exists to do two things:

Number one: Help you engage with and make new fans.

Number two: Make you money.

Period.

Apr 1st | You have decided to...

You have decided to create a website. One of the first questions that you will face sounds like "What colors should I choose to make it professional and at the same time visually appealing?" This is not surprising because color is the first things that attract your visitors' attention. Color affects not only the appearance of a website, but also its effectiveness. It means that an average time spent on site, a number of returned visitors, and even conversion depend on the choice of the color scheme. Moreover, taking into account visualization of modern technologies, color plays one of the main roles on the Internet. And we don't forget this rule when you start your own website.

K.I.S.S. is an acronym for "Keep it simple, stupid", as a design principle noted by the U.S. Navy in 1960. The KISS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated. Therefore, simplicity should be a key goal in design and unnecessary complexity should be avoided. I am a very staunch supporter of this - as summed up by Albert Einstein.
